“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent. It is the one most adaptable to change.” - Charles Darwin.

In the age-old discussion of evolution theories, these words of Darwin have a farther ringing resonance than one can imagine, especially among today’s modern business leaders. While thriving in a dynamic business environment, a strong leader is expected to be adaptable to the upcoming changes.

As most enterprises are going through their digitalisation journeys now, it is imperative for effective leaders to be able to seamlessly reinvent themselves and stay at par with the rapidly changing market. In order to successfully facilitate that, Dr. Karsten Wetwitschka, having leadership experience on all management levels in various countries in Europe and Northern America, established 20HERTZ in 2017. A leadership development maven—20HERTZ—strives to coach leaders with the highest professional and ethical standards and help them strengthen their organisations.

The idea behind the name of the company stems from Dr. Wetwitschka’s extensive leadership experience that capacitates him to understand challenges that many cannot address. “I strive to listen and understand more than what my clients tell me, which is somewhat like listening to frequencies lower than 20 hertz (the inaudible frequency spectrum), hence the name—20HERTZ,” says Dr. Wetwitschka, the founder of the company.

As an executive coach and management trainer, Dr. Wetwitschka has worked with senior executives and leaders over the span of more than twenty years. He delivers executive coaching at a level that matches his leadership experience.

For example, many senior executives who experience a career break in the middle of their lives have great difficulty in finding a new professional challenge. The reason for this is often a lack of career planning. Also, it is usually not sufficient to simply have an extensive network and use it professionally. This situation not only puts an individual's career on hold, but also undermines their self-confidence. Karsten Wetwitschka takes his clients on a journey of introspection and let them understand their strength and shortcomings. The key in the newplacement process for such professionals is thorough self-reflection in a deep coaching process and well-structured self-marketing.

Then managers can reinvent themselves and re-establish themselves as successful leaders. “It is our ambition to help clients to seize the opportunity presented by the challenge," mentions the founder.

Accredited as Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by the International Coach Federation (ICF), Karsten Wetwitschka, along with his group of handpicked colleagues, has designed best-in-class intensive leadership coaching programs—Newplacement Coaching and Onboarding Coaching.

Through Newplacement Coaching, 20HERTZ helps clients create new opportunities by identifying professional goals that they truly want to achieve. This helps clients find a meaningful direction that builds a deep, strong, and lasting motivation for their successful and sustainable professional reorientation.

20HERTZ’s other offering, Onboarding Coaching, takes leadership training one notch higher, as it effectively ensures the success of leaders who take on a new position internally or externally. Karsten Wetwitschka knows that failures of newly hired executives are almost never caused by lack of experience or lack of expertise. Therefore, he encourages new managers to focus on frequently underestimated soft factors such as corporate culture, effective communication and functioning networks. The guidance provided by 20HERTZ during the onboarding process halves the time in which newly hired managers become effective in their new organization and reduces the probability of failure by more than 50 percent. "It's difficult to find the perfect job, but it's even more difficult to bring it to success," Dr. Wetwitschka knows from experience.

In order to achieve such goals seamlessly, the founder deploys a combination of physical meetings and virtual coaching through Zoom and Skype. “Although I am continually interacting with clients virtually on a daily basis, I feel, it is of utmost importance to first establish a personal relationship through a physical meeting,” adds Karsten Wetwitschka. Hence, before accepting any Newplacement or Onboarding mandate he schedules a 2-3 hour physical orientation session.

Dr. Wetwitschka is also known for his enigmatic public speaking skill, and he is frequently seen addressing leaders about several important subjects on leadership and how to augment it. Shedding light on the future of the company, Dr. Wetwitschka mentions that he wants to work towards further strengthening the visibility of Newplacement and Onboarding Coaching. His dream is for 20HERTZ to become the partner of choice for "executives who need a new job and those who have just found one".
